Privacy

Privacy policy.

Last updated April 30, 2026. This is the plain-English version. There isn't a longer one hiding behind it.

Who runs this site

Digital Doorframe is a one-person web design business based in Michigan, USA. The site is at digitaldoorframe.com. You can reach me at hello@digitaldoorframe.com.

For privacy questions specifically, use the same address with "Privacy" in the subject line.

What I collect

Only what you choose to send through one of the three forms on this site. The specific fields are:

  • Contact form (/contact): name, business name, email, and your message.
  • Free website review (/free-website-review): name, business name, email, and your current website URL.
  • Project intake (/start): name, business name, business type, email, phone (optional), the package you're interested in, what the website needs to do, rough page count, whether you have a logo / photos / written content, desired launch timeline, and any notes you add.

I also automatically capture the date and time of submission. I do not collect IP addresses for analytics, and I do not run Google Analytics, Meta / Facebook Pixel, TikTok pixel, advertising trackers, heatmaps, or session-recording tools on this site.

Why I collect it

To reply to you. That's it.

  • To answer your message or send back a written quote.
  • To keep a small record of who I've spoken with so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • To send the transactional emails you'd expect during a project (quote, proof, handoff).

I do not sell your information. I do not share it with marketers. I do not add you to a newsletter. There is no newsletter.

Where it's stored and who processes it

When you submit a form, the contents are sent to me by email at hello@digitaldoorframe.com. A small record of the email itself (recipient address, template name, send status, and timestamp) is logged in the site's database for delivery tracking. The form contents themselves are not stored as a separate database record beyond what's in that email and log.

The processors involved are:

  • Cloudflare — serves and protects this site.
  • Supabase — hosted Postgres database (in the US) used for the email send log and unsubscribe tokens.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery to and from notify.digitaldoorframe.com.
  • My email inbox at hello@digitaldoorframe.com — where the actual messages land.

Each of these providers has their own security and privacy practices. Information stays inside this short list — it is not handed off to ad networks, data brokers, or marketing platforms.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. It does not run advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. The only browser storage used is the small amount needed for the site itself to work — specifically, a local copy of recent form submissions stored in your own browser under the key dd_leads so nothing is lost on your device. See the cookie notice for the full breakdown.

How long I keep it

Project-related emails are kept for as long as the project is active and for up to seven years after, to satisfy US tax and record-keeping requirements. The email send log entries (recipient address, template name, status, timestamp) are kept on the same schedule. Free-review and one-off contact messages with no follow-on project are typically cleared within 12 months. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just email me and I'll remove it.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you what I have on file, correct it, export it, or delete it. If you're a Michigan or other US resident, this covers the access and deletion rights granted under applicable US state privacy laws. If you're in the EU, UK, or another GDPR-style jurisdiction, the same rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, restriction) apply — though as a small Michigan business I primarily serve Michigan and US clients. Email hello@digitaldoorframe.com and I'll handle it within 30 days, usually within a few business days.

Transactional emails I send during a project include an unsubscribe link. Using it opts you out of those automated sends; I'll still reply to you directly by email about the project itself.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes — anything that broadens what I collect or who it goes to — will be called out plainly on the home page or in a follow-up email if you've already worked with me. No quiet edits.
